Clermont Ferrand
"Once upon a time, south of the centre of France, a town was born out of fire, water and air. They named it Clermont. Not knowing where to go, she took refuge at the foot of one of the largest volcanoes in Auvergne, the Puy de Dôme (1465m), at the very heart of the Massif Central (80 dormant volcanoes). There, she met a charming little medieval village answering to the name of Montferrand and thus was born... Clermont-Ferrand !! "

Clermont-Ferrand is the capital of the Auvergne region. The town benefits from a strategic location, at the crossing of the main european road axes, and enjoys large green spaces offered by the Auvergne Volcanoes and the Livradois Forez regional parcs in which nestle lakes, medieval castles, and much wild fauna and flora.
Why not amble along the numerous trekking paths, and admire the view from the peak of the Puy de Sancy ? And then wander back down to cool off and tone your body in the thermal baths of the Mont-Dore or the Bourboule, while....
